Director of Operations/Owner, Girl Crush Company
Board of Directors, Founder, Second Grace
Candace believes in practicing gratefulness alongside passions. Living life this way led Candace into social work, and to adopt and raise 14 children alongside her 3 biological children. Eventually, she founded Brittany’s Hope Foundation – an organization committed to making lasting change in the lives of orphaned and at-risk children through international special needs adoption grants and humanitarian initiatives
In retirement, Candace became involved with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in Lancaster County. There, she recognized a need for programs for young mothers involved in the foster care system. From that experience, Second Grace was born. And Candace took her hobby of crafting bath and body products and created Girl Crush Company which uses their profits to support programing and employment opportunities for clients of Second Grace.
In her spare time, Candace’s hobbies are playing with her menagerie of animals and grandchildren (12 currently) on the small farm she shares with her husband, mother and various visitors. She loves traveling, reading, life at the bay and hosting the family get-togethers. She is grateful for all she has in life and for her many friends and family who make life meaningful.
